There was struggle at Revival Church in Kawaala as Police and Local Defense Units- LDUs attempted to control hundreds of people that were struggling to gain access the Church to mourn the death of their Pr. Augustine Yiga.
“Abizaayo passed on Monday night at St. Francis Nsambya hospital on where he was admitted with liver complications for the last few months.
However, after receiving news of his demise, hundreds of people thronged Revival Church and even as LDUs and police were deployed at both routes leading to the church to control crowds, hundreds of people forced their way in.
Church leaders also pleaded with mourners to wash their hands and wear masks in vain.
This force police to make it mandatory for people outside the church to have their body temperature tested and wear face masks.
By press time, Yiga's body was yet to arrive at the church.
