Police in Nakasongola district are searching for thugs who murdered two motorcyclists who were found dead this week.

The deceased include Emmanuel Bogere, a Boda boda rider at Nakasongola Barracks Stage in Nakasongola town council, and another one who is yet to be identified.
Bogere’s lifeless body was found in Namayonjo zone in Nakasongola town on Wednesday morning.

According to Richard Migadde a Boda boda rider, Bogere was last seen around 3 pm on Monday.

The riders started looking for him, only to get information at around 9; 00 am that his lifeless was lying in the bushes in Namayonjo village.

The deceased’s body had deep wounds in the neck, which implies that he was cut by a knife and his motorcycle registration number UFE 612C was stolen.

Another unidentified motorcyclist was found dead around 2:30 pm on Tuesday in the forest at Katuugo town council.

According to David Ssemayobe, the LC 1 Chairman of Katuugo village, a group of herdsmen grazing cattle found the body and police was immediately alerted.

The body was picked and transferred to Nakasongola Health Center IV for postmortem. The deceased rider was wearing a pair of blue jeans trousers, a white -shirt and white canvas.

Ssemayobe says that they suspect the deceased was a motorcyclist because they found an empty toolbox and user manual for motorcycles at the scene.

The Savannah Region Police Spokesperson Isah Ssemwogerere, says the second victim didn’t have any identification document on his body.

Ssemwogerere says that the deceased is believed to have been stabbed in the neck before he was killed and his motorcycle robbed.
