Security agents in Kakumiro district are searching for unknown assailants who hacked to death a 40-year-old woman.
Lilian Tugume Nnalongo, a resident of Mukatebe Village in Mwitanzige sub-county in Kakumiro district was found lying in a pool of blood inside her house on Tuesday morning.
According to Jonathan Kyalikunda the Mukatebe Village LC 1 Chairperson, he received information about the incident from the deceased’s daughter.
Nnalongo was allegedly alone in the house at the time of the attack.
The Kakumiro District Police Commander-DPC Edgar Kulayigye says they have launched investigations into the matter, adding that so far they have not arrested any suspects in connection with the murder.
The deceased’s body was conveyed to Kakumiro Health Center IV mortuary pending post-mortem.
