The police at Kasangati are hunting for unknown assailants who attacked St. Edward College Galamba in Gombe Division, Wakiso District, killing one security guard.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP the incident occurred in the wee hours of Thursday 9th March 2023, at approximately 1:00 am.

It is reported that unknown persons attacked the college and killed Anguyo Christopher, a 29-year-old guard while another guard, Okwang Ceasar, aged 26, was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at Mulago Hospital.

The police were immediately informed of the incident and responded promptly. Officers visited the crime scene, and recovered a rope with suspected blood stains, damaged bow, and arrows. The deceased's phone was also found.

The body was taken to the City Mortuary for postmortem. No arrests have been made yet, but the police have launched a full investigation to apprehend the culprits.

“The motive of the murder is currently unknown since nothing is missing at school. We would like to assure the public that we will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety of everyone in the community,” says Owoyesigyire.
