NRM Presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni has confirmed attendance of Saturday’s second edition of the presidential debate.
News reaching our desk indicates that after a series of talks between Justice Ogoola James, the chairman elders forum and the NRM campaign task force, Museveni has accepted to take time off his busy campaign schedule and attend the debate.
According to Justice James Ogoola, the second presidential debate is scheduled this Saturday February 13, 2016 at Serena hotel Kampala from 18:00hrs to midnight.
“The second presidential debate on Feb 13 will focus on foreign policy and will be held at Serena,” Ogoola said while appearing on NBS TV morning breeze. “I hope that debate will have an impact, especially on our debate culture in the future.”
Mr. Museveni missed the first debate last month, citing a busy campaign schedule before referring to debating as a high school activity he would not involve in.
