The Uganda National Assembly has so far registered two musicians; Judith Babirye and Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine for this 10th parliament.
Comedian Kato Lubwama, MP for Rubaga South is from entertainment background as well.
This has produced momentum among so many artistes that are eyeing to MP seats in 2021 general elections.
Ronald Mayinja
Former Eagles production singer recently completed his diploma in business administration at Kampala International University after struggling with retakes. He later joined Makerere University to seek knowledge in law. He is trying to chase his political ambitions come 2021. He is said to be positioning himself to run as Member of Parliament for Gomba East constituency.
Sources also reveal that the singer will stand on the card of Democratic Party.

He is the Son to the former head of Uganda investments authority, Maggie Kigozi. He is among the few artistes showcasing interest to stand in 2021.The rapper hails from Rubaga South and will have to compete with incumbent MP, Kato Lubwama.
Dr Hilderman
The singer broke to fame in 2007 after unleashing ‘Mazongoto’ hit. In 2011, he composed a song titled ‘Amelia’ for Minister of trade, Amelia Kyambadde.
Recently, Dr Hilderman was on Bobi Wine’s campaign trail. We can reveal that the singer was picking lessons for 2021.
