Popular hairstylist, Kennedy Zziwa of hair by Zziwa salon visited former NTV and Radiocity presenter, Dave Dash who is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Drug and Alcohol unit in Butabika Hospital.

According to Zziwa, Dave Dash is in shape and is receiving the right treatment from the doctors. He claims that he promised him never to take drugs again.

He posted, “Dave has checked into rehab and I am so excited to have met him this morning. He looks very much in shape and enthusiastic. I asked him how he feels being here and his response was simple. “Proud. I am proud of myself, mostly because I wasn't forced to come,

I told him of how his "soldier" has become famous on the internet and he laughed about it. His reason for his meltdown is that he was depressed after working for many days without getting adequate rest.

My favorite part talking to him was when he vowed; "I am never going to use again. Never." Dave now understands the risks of using and that's the first step towards healing.

There are quite a number of steps; another is changing friends and environment. When you are around people who use, you're almost guaranteed to relapse. In life, we are largely influenced by the people and things around us. Now that Dave is in rehab, far away from his former life, I believe he will walk out clean. Born again. That's actually for sure.

As you very well know, I was there and my life has positively changed since then. I am more productive at the saloon and more close to my family. There was a huge gap created between me and my mother, my wife and everyone dear to me, thanks to using. That gap has been bridged.

My family and a couple of friends are helping in my new journey as a recovering addict. It is in the same manner that we need to treat Dave. He needs positive people. He needs us, especially when he returns to our faces. My hope is that we all challenge ourselves to create a drug-free community. I believe in doing so we'll see a positive impact in our society overall.” he said.
