Maurice Kiirya once expressed interest in running for the presidency of the Uganda Musicians Association, but this aspiration didn't materialize. Currently, he remains a regular member of the musicians association.
The singer has, however, shared his reasons for not joining the Uganda National Musicians Federation yet, explaining that he is taking his time to fully understand its advantages and how it can effectively assist musicians in overcoming the daily challenges they face.
"I am a member of UMA, and I had intentions of running for the presidency, but my plans were delayed due to COVID. As for Kenzo's federation, I haven't joined it yet because I am still in the process of learning more about them," he stated.
Maurice Kiirya recently hosted a successful concert at Serena Hotel Kampala.
