Media personality and veteran singer Robert Sekidde, also known as Tuff B, is confident of winning the National Unity Platform ticket for the Member of Parliament position in Makindye East as the country heads to polls next year.
Tuff B explained it's impossible for him to lose the ticket because he is doing well on the ground, and the NUP party believes in the power of the people.
"It's impossible for me not to get the NUP ticket. The ticket is in the hands of the people, and they are the ones who decide, and it will be me," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Tuff B explained that the Party President, Robert Kyagulanyi, tasked him to go to the ground and seek the support of the masses because they will determine who is to receive the ticket.
"I have had several meetings with the party president, and he shared these words with me: 'Tuff B, I welcome you and have long recognized that you stand with us in the same struggle. However, I’m not the one who decides; it’s the people who decide,'" he added.
Tuff B is facing competition from the incumbent, Nyeko Derrick, and Moses Sendi, also known as Mr Mosh.
