Ruto polled 7,176,141 votes representing 50.5 percent against his closest rival Azimio's Raila Odinga who garnered 6,942,930 votes representing 48.85 percent.

In Uganda, Odinga has 553 votes against Ruto’s 235, out of 1,411 voters, according to Form 34A posted on the IEBC portal.

With over 56% turnout, the IEBC says its happy that the voters heeded the call to turn out in large numbers to vote across the country.
