The woman, who mysteriously disappeared at unknown time, abandoned the two children in a room at Home Town Pub and Lodge in Kisenyi, West Division, Fort Portal Municipality in Kabarole District.
The alleged mother registered herself at the lodge reception as Nalubega Hadija from Kampala heading to Kasese district.
She checked in at the lodge at 10:00pm on 13/3/2014. The children were discovered by the workers during their morning routine check-ups.
The baby boy is of about one year while the girl is of approximately one and a half year. The two kids are currently being kept at Fort portal police station.
After waiting in vain for the mother to come back, the proprietor of the lodge Ms. Mugera Rose decided to bring the children to police.
Our Children and Family Protection Officer corporal Namyalo Hadija is currently taking care of the children with a view of handing them over to Tooro Babies Home which is based in Fort portal, to grant the babies a temporary custody as we are looking for the mother and relatives.
