Muhereza Kyamutetera, the coordinator of the “Save Carol Campaign” says so far Shs324, 603,399 has been raised…and the amount above their target of 270 M that they initially wanted to take Carol to US for specialized treatment.
After hitting the target, Carol has requested the balance of the money be dedicated to Uganda Cancer Institute.
The money was raised from different drives especially through mobile money car wash from Kampala, Mbarara, and Fort Portal
Kyamutetera thanked Ugandan for being able to save a life.
Thank U UGANDA; The #SaveCarol campaign has so far raised Shs324, 603,399. This is Shs54 million above our estimated need of Shs270 million. We are now in final consultations with doctors on the final treatment and travel details as well as final costs. All remaining funds, Atuhirwe Carol has advised be given to UGANDA Cancer Institute
