The National Coordinator for National Unity Platform, Nyanzi Fred Sentamu, jetted into the country last night following a long stay in the United States of America.
Nyanzi has been receiving treatment in America and has lived in the foreign land for a month.
He sought treatment abroad following his arrest and alleged torture by security operatives who arrested him earlier this year.
Nyanzi was picked up at the airport by the Makerere University Guild president, Sentamu Church Hill, alongside other family members.
The two have widely been in the media after Church Hill attended and posed with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in a picture during his visit to Makerere.
Following the backlash, Nyanzi asked his son to resign from his leadership position, a request he refused, stirring more controversy around his family and the National Unity Platform.
