Fashion star Ahumuza Brian a.k.a Abryans comes from a humble background. He claims that his mum and Dad were poor and he hails from Ibanda District. He came to Kampala to look for a living. Abryans life journey has not been easy.
Brian the hawker
Brian started with a capital of 100k. He had a friend who used to own a shop around Ben Kiwanuka Street. He approached him and asked for work. He suggested that he deposits only 100k and be given trousers and shirts to sell to people in offices and other areas.
Brian would move the clothes from office to office and door to door. Sometimes people wouldn’t buy but he kept a positive attitude. He made so many friends in the process and people started noticing he had good clothes.
On meeting Celebs
Brian sold a pair of shirt to one of Chameleone’s confidants. This one sale landed him into good books of the Leone Island boss. He slowly penetrated in the group of the celebs and this made his work easy. He kept on selling clothes around town. Because he was not paying rent and other costs, he managed to save enough money.
Making A fortune out of Owino clothes
Brian, after making some good profits, he promised his clients that he will travel to Dubai and start getting fashionable clothes. People believed him but sources say, Brian would go downtown market Owino in the early mornings and pick clothes. He would take two weeks working on the clothes while his clients were waiting for him from Dubai. He would in turn sell the clothes expensively and make abnormal profit. This made Brian Popular. He started getting deals and finally opened up his first shop. He has never looked back. He opened up other branches and also started organizing fashion events. Brian is now one of the top most Fashionistas in Uganda.
