A fortnight after his arrest, Eddy Ssebuufu alias Eddie Mutwe, a bodyguard to Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is to be charged with treason.
Howwe has learnt that Eddy Mutwe will be paraded before Gulu Magistrates court to answer charges related to treason. This comes after Justice Musa Sekaana of Kampala High court ordered that the suspect be produced before court or be released.
Mr. Anthony Kusingura, Eddy Mutwe's lawyer told court that it was unlawful to hold his client for more than 48hrs without being tried thereby petitioning High Court to order Chieftaincy and Attorney General to produce him immediately.
Eddy Mutwe, will be the 35th person to be paraded before Gulu Magistrate after the Arua election violence.
He was arrested at Red pocket bar in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburbs by plain clothed security personal, who were later reported to be part of the army.
