An alleged plot has been uncovered involving mighty singer Jose Chameleone, Producer Paddy Mukasa and Chris Evan’s manager Kayemba to sabotage and mute new talent and uprising star Denis Bitone together with Elly Wamala’s eldest daughter Fiona Wamala Mukasa.
This follows the three having decided to reproduce Late Elly Wamala songs after permission from a section of the Kyengera Wamala family in a bid to stage an event on Chrismas day. Little they know that among the songs they chose to reproduce, one particular song that was given to Dr, Chameleon had earlier been reproduced by Denis Bitone in collaboration with Makindye Wamala family with the eldest daughter of the late featuring in the song.
Worse to the situation Denis Bitone is Jose Chameleon nemesis to the extent that most kampala music lovers consider this young talent as the perfect replace to Jose Chameleon the world has been waiting for.
Bitone is a makindye local boy who is fathered by an army officer and grew up in Makindye Baracks and speaks fluent swahili. He spent most of his time singing and playing instruments in local churches in Makindye. This humble and multi talent became a gospel singer last before meeting and joining reverb Studio of Barbie Jay. It has been during his time with Barbie Jay that he has turned into a circular music artist in which time he reproduced late phily lutaaya and Elly wamala songs among others.
Denis bitone a lifelong family friend of Elly Wamala Makindye family reproduced the Nga bwewakolanga song with the late’s daughter Fiona Mukasa Wamala with no intention of sabotaging the December Project. In his word he remarked “I am not against any plans to stage the Elly Wamala rememberance. However Bitone has received a caution from the project manager Kayemba instructing to withdraw his and video to pave way for the forthcoming chameleon Video release or else he faces a career termination.
He boasted that the later have what it takes to destroy a music career but if Bitone waits for a month after Jose Chameleon’s release, chance are that his problems will only remain with Jose Chameleon who desperately wants him off the scene because of the similarities in their singing voices but not with Elly Wamala planned event.
Meanwhile sources close to all camps indicated that Jose chameleon has ordered Producer Paddyman and Manager Kayemba to contact all TV stations and major radio stations with legal documents instructing them to stop playing Denis Bitone music. Sources further indicate that Jose Chameleon has vowed to go to any length to stop this new talent getting known to the world.
One anonymous source said “ Chamili sits in his own car and listens to Bitone’s music and start crying. During this time not even his wife can come near him. Meanwhile because he was chosen to be the head of the Elly wamala project to be staged in December and after learning that Bitone had repeated the same song as him, he has further ordered that he will not work with people fighting him unless they stop the boy’s song and video. Its is believed that late Wamala family members were happy with Bitone’s version of the song but are scared of Jose Chameleon and insist that had Bitone sung another song but not the one Chameleon sung they wouldn’t have had any issues. But the fact that he sings like Chameleon and in the same song will bring problems to their family from Jose Chameleon.
Role of Paddyman and Kayemba in this Elly Wamala Project.
Paddyman having been the contracted producer of all song has a lot to lose if Jose Chameleon deserts the project whereas Kayemba having been the vision bearer and one who contacted the Kyengera Elly Wamala family is too the head of the project.
The two non elly wamala family members claim that Bitone’s song with the late Elly Wamala’s eldest daughter Fiona Wamala Mukasa was reproduced wrongly and need to be withdrawn or else both singers will be arrested. Sources confirmed that the project is estimated to yield 500,000,000/= with Elly Wamala Kyengera family member Trudy Wamala expected to take 40% of the whole sum
Chameleon has always been committing crimes and not getting punished. Undoubtedly being Uganda’s biggest male artist and for so long has hard various copy cats that rose to fame and always ended up disappearing from the music scene with clever J among others.
Meanwhile Bitone has fled his rented home in Luwafu and returned to live in the Baracks following phone call threats and messages warning him not to sing like Chameleon or else will face the consequences.
With Bitone being an all-round musician Chameleon fighting days are nearing the end. It should not be forgotten Jose Chameleon has never been brought to justice following the Death of Karamagi in his Seguku home.
