The President of the United Nations General Assembly Hon. Sam Kutesa recognizes Santa Anzo, Chief Fashion Designer & Managing Director of ARAPAPA CONSULTANCY LTD as one of 87personalities who are considered Uganda’s most inspirational women.
Santa has therefore gone down in history in a book titled "FOOT MARKS-Scaling Heights" that was launched by Africa Mentors Team, in honour of Ugandan women who are scaling heights through pioneering, establishing and promoting their respectful careers.
In Santa’s case she, with very meager earnings from her then very young fashion house, initiated the Uganda International Fashion Week which has helped establish thousands of jobs for the then almost non-existant fashion sector.
Santa helped pave a way for the local Ugandan Fashion and Modelling industry...."Santa remains an inspiration amongst multitudes in and around her country Uganda- a formidable force on the African fashion scene".
Friends, this was the most humbling experience, these women amongst whom l feature are some of the most esteemed Uganda will ever know..they aren't duplicates, they are the real deal! the greatest Mothers, wives, First Ladies, Queens, Engineers, Bishops, Teachers, Politicians, Journalists, CEOs, Doctors, Midwives etc" I am so proud of them all.
