Grief has engulfed many social media users and people in Kamwokya following the death of Tiktok sensation Namirembe Asia alias "Asia wa Charles".
Asia was pronounced dead on Friday morning at Mulago Hospital where she had been admitted due to complications in her stomach.
According to Asia’s father, Mr. Isabirye Karim, the Tiktoker was poisoned by unknown people, and this caused her death.
“The doctor told us that poison was in her stomach for two weeks. She had been complaining about stomach pains in that period,” says Isabirye.
“We have nothing to do since we don’t know who poisoned my daughter,” he says painfully.
Asia rose to fame in the country as a result of her lighthearted observations on everyday events and dance moves, thanks to YouTuber SB4 media, who introduced him to social media.
