Upcoming musician Fred Kiggundu, popularly known as Simple K, came forward to claim that he fathered a child with musician Jenifer Nakanguubi commonly known as Full Figure.
Full Figure gave birth to a baby boy named Museveni Kairos Pearl in November 2020.
Initially dismissed as a clout chaser, Simple K took the matter to court, demanding a DNA test to establish the truth.
Full Figure vehemently denied any discussion regarding her child's father.
However, the Makindye family court issued an order for Full Figure to undergo a DNA test after Simple K, 25, a resident of Kirinyabigo, Wakiso district claimed he had evidence to support his assertion that he fathered the child.
According to Simple K, he initially approached Full Figure in 2019 to promote his music. Their professional relationship soon turned into an affair, allegedly resulting in the birth of the child.
Furthermore, Simple K claimed that his involvement with Full Figure took a toll on his personal and professional life.
Despite the challenges, he expressed his willingness to take responsibility as the child's father if the DNA test confirmed his worries.
Unfortunately, on Monday Simple K was found guilty of three charges brought against him by Full Figure and sentenced to five years in prison.
This was after the DNA test results revealed that Simple K is not the biological father of Museveni Kairos Pearl.
The court reduced his five-year prison term, taking into account the year he spent in custody during the investigation.
The charges against him included lying, using inappropriate language, and abusing the internet.
The outcome of the case has brought an end to the disputed paternity claims, and Full Figure's child remains without a confirmed biological father.
