Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi, two of Uganda's biggest female music stars, are set to face off in a music battle at Kololo Independence Grounds on September 15, 2023.
Sanyu, who is known by her stage name "The King Herself," has been teasing the event on social media, saying that she is "ready to show Sheebah who is the queen."
Karungi, who is known by her stage name "Queen Sheebah," has not yet commented on the event, but she is sure to be up for the challenge.
The two singers have been rivals for years, and this event is sure to be a showdown for the ages. Fans are already eagerly awaiting the event, and it is sure to be one of the biggest music events in Uganda this year
When asked why she has put it on the same day as Sheebah, the King Herself said she doesn’t compete with children.
“I don’t compete with children, Sheebah is a child in this industry, I even wrote her first song ‘Kunyenyeza’ by the time she started singing, and I had been singing solo for five years. If it is a battle, I have absolutely no problem with it besides I already beat her hands down in music and I have no problem battling any other female artiste in Uganda,” she noted.
