Kawempe North Member of Parliament and National Unity Platform (NUP) member, Hon Ssegirinya Muhammad, known on social media as Mr. Update, is currently in critical condition.
Last month, Mr. Update was flown to Europe for specialized treatment due to persistent stomachache complaints.
Recent reports indicate that he continues to struggle with his health, with doctors yet to identify the underlying cause of his illness. Hon Ssegirinya's health had been deteriorating, exacerbated by his arrest and subsequent two-year imprisonment, during which he was denied proper medical attention.
Upon his release from prison, Hon Ssegirinya has been working diligently to regain his health. Despite rumors suggesting his demise, the truth is that he is fighting hard to recover.
According to David Lubongoya, a fellow NUP member and friend, Hon Ssegirinya is still weak but is receiving improved medical care.
David Lubongoya shared, "I spoke with our brother Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad last night, who is currently receiving medical treatment at UMC Hospital in Amsterdam. He spoke with difficulty and expressed his ongoing weakness. Fortunately, he is now under the care of an excellent medical team. We remain hopeful that he will recover fully and regain his strength. We appreciate all comrades who have been offering support and encouragement during this time. Let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a swift and complete recovery."
