Musician Cinderella Sanyu, aka Cindy, started her music career together with Jackie Chandiru and Lilian Mbabazi in Blu 3.
Cindy explained that this was when she and Chandiru first tried drinking alcohol.
At the time, Mbabazi was experienced with alcohol and its various types.
Cindy said it took her a long time to believe Jackie Chandiru was struggling with addiction. She couldn't believe Chandiru would go on to drink excessively.
"It took me a long time to accept that Jackie was struggling with addiction because we started drinking alcohol at the same time. I didn't believe it even when people told me those stories until I reached out to her, but I am very happy she overcame it," she said in an interview with a local television station.
Cindy expressed her happiness that Jackie Chandiru beat addiction and said she would always celebrate her for that.
