Musician Kalifah Aganaga has spoken out about his opponent, Nalukoola Elias, stating that he is too old for leadership in Kawempe North.

In an interview with Sanyuka Television, Kalifah Aganaga explained that he is not afraid of Nalukoola and is confident he will emerge victorious.

He argues that the National Unity Platform (NUP) made a mistake by awarding the party ticket to Nalukoola. He believes the party should have endorsed a younger candidate like himself.

"Kawempe belongs to the youth, like me. Nalukoola is too old for the position. It was a mistake for NUP to give him the party ticket. I believe it should have gone to a younger candidate, which would have created real competition. But now, I don’t have any, and I will be the sole winner," he explained.

Kalifah Aganaga is contesting for the Kawempe North MP position on the FDC ticket. He will be running against NUP’s Elias Nalukoola, NRM’s Farida Nambi, and other independent candidates.

The by-election will take place on March 13 this year.
