
Musician Kalifah Aganaga, aka Mukiibi Sadat, represented FDC in the just concluded Kawempe North MP elections.
However, the singer emerged fifth with 239 votes against the winner Elias Nalukoola Luyimbazi of National Unity Platform, who polled 17,764.
Speaking about the election, Kalifah Aganaga explained the elections were not free and fair, but he is not giving up on the struggle. He will continue seeking the betterment of his constituents.
"This was not a free and fair election. But still, the struggle continues," he wrote on social media on Thursday.
It should be noted that this was Kalifah Aganaga's first time participating in elective politics.
Kawempe North by-election took place to replace the fallen Muhammad Segirinya, who passed on in January this year.
