The university is holding its 16th graduation ceremony at the university main campus in Mukono District.
According to Ms Prim K. Tumuramye, the university spokesperson, of the students expected to graduate, 771 are male while 869 are female. A total of 41 students got first class degrees in various disciplines.
She said key among the graduands for a Master of Arts in Organisational Leadership and Management is the First Lady and minister for Karamoja Affairs Janet Museveni. The other notable graduands are; Ms Allen Catherine Kagina, the executive director of the Uganda National Roads Authority, and Ms Susan Muhwezi Kabonero, the presidential adviser on African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and Trade.
The graduation ceremony where President Museveni is also expected to attend, will take place at the new recreation sports grounds at the Mukono main campus.
