Don Jazzy, speaking at a press conference to announce Mavin Records free concert which comes up December 23, teased on a plan to record something new.

Of course I will work with D’banj,” he said. “But we have been too busy. He is travelling to a lot of places, and I am working with my artistes. But we will work together.”

At Tuface Idibia’s 40th birthday celebration in September, the African Queen singer pleaded with the former Mo’Hits stars to come together for a new record, adding his voice to what has become a chorus from fans of the dynamic duo who gave us songs like Oliver Twist, Fall in Love, Igwe and Tongolo.

And although D’banj appeared enthusiastic at the idea, Don Jazzy seemed more reluctant, refusing to go up on stage to join Tuface and his former partner in a song.

Still, Dbanj in several interviews has continued to hint about a possible reunion.

Don Jazzy and Dbanj founded the now-defunct Mo’Hits record shortly after their return to Nigeria from the UK. The label gave the Nigerian entertainment industry a face in the international community. In 2012, the duo decided to dissolve the partnership owing to a crack in their work relationship.
