The Police flying squad has arrested a man suspected to have murdered a Chinese woman in Mukono. Yang Yeshu 60, was murdered in an armed robbery after two armed men accessed Nile Steel Company Mukono that she was working with and shot her.
Fred Katukaya, the suspect confessed to have stolen the killer pistol on 30th August 2017 and has been using it for various robbery attacks. He was found and arrested from Banda at a washing bay.
According to the police, upon examination, out of 10 bullets, 4 had been used. Investigations indicate that the weapon belongs to Saracen Security Company.
“More details to emerge. We thank the Flying Squad team, lookout teams, crime preventers, commanders on ground and the general public for your cooperation in apprehending these culprits” a police statement added.
