Uganda police force has trashed social media reports that one of their own was murdered by unknown people in Kayunga around Bukolooto.
Mr. Emilian Kayima, the police spokesperson told the media at Naguru police headquarters this morning that the dead man has been identified as John Muwanga in his 40s, an employee of Seracen security group.
According to the police mouthpiece, police while at the scene this morning received a call from the dead man’s supervisor on his phone.
The deceased has been in charge of the armory at Seracen Mukono. Muwanga was crushed by a vehicle in what appears to be a stage managed accident.
“Unfortunately at the scene, his body was crashed seemingly by a motor vehicle but there is suspicion about that. It looks like it’s a stage managed murder, because his motorcycle UDW 971Q stood along of the road” Kayima says.
He adds that the body was taken to Kayunga mortuary as investigations into his death commence. The police spokesperson says they are more interested in discovering if the deceased had a gun on him.
