In a closed meeting held in June 2017, Robert Kabushenga explained to the stakeholders and board members on how the media house needs to change immediately and adapt to the current flow of news.

He explained that the current mass no longer has interest in traditional news and reporting. He urged members to support him and transform the media house to the current standards.

Some Board members don't agree with him so they suggested that he steps down. The final decision was not communicated until yesterday.
