Adam Mulwana, a singer who became famous in 2016 during the general elections is fighting for his life.
His song "Toka Kwa bala bala" got Dr. Besigye, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, and many FDC supporters dancing. It was FDC’s signature sound during the campaign trail.
But after the campaigns, they forget about him.
Reports say he has been on his sickbed for over 11 months battling stomach illnesses related to the dysfunction of the liver.
In a bid to help him get better healthcare and support, Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Mohammed Segirinya has promised to petition Parliament over the matter.
He said Mulwana is a Ugandan musician who should be supported by the parliament as it has done for other people.
"He needs to seek better healthcare in Nairobi, the UK, or America but his finances are lacking. I will join hands with the Shadow minister for Arts and Culture, Dr. Hilderman so that we petition Parliament to help him.
People have been supported before and he also deserves a chance to access better healthcare," he said in an interview with Spark TV.
Legislator Segirinya also promised to organize a car wash for the ailing musician in Kawempe North Constituency.
