Musician Weasel Manizo has opened up about why he assaulted promoter Norbat Events.

In a statement released on his social media, Weasel explained that he had never received his payment since the "Memories of Goodlyfe" concert took place.

He has been demanding that Norbat fulfill his contractual obligations, but the promoter has been playing hide-and-seek.

The singer insists he can't remain passive while Norbat enjoys the proceeds from the concert and will do whatever it takes to get paid.

"Important Update for Our Fans

We're thrilled to share that our concert at Hotel Africana two weeks ago was a huge success! However, we're disappointed to announce that the event organizer, Mr. Nobat, has yet to pay us for our performance.

Despite numerous attempts to reach out to him, our efforts have been met with silence. It's unacceptable that we've been left unpaid for our work.

To make matters worse, Mr. Nobat provoked me today, adding insult to injury.

We're speaking out because we believe in fairness and transparency in the music industry. We deserve to be paid for our craft, just like any other professional.

Memories of Goodlyfe, the main artist, has not received payment yet. We're still waiting for Mr. Nobat to fulfill his obligations.

Thank you for your continued support. We'll keep you updated on this situation. #UnpaidArtists #FairnessInBusiness #MusicIndustry #PayTheArtists"

Yours Truly,
UNCLE WEE," the statement posted on his social media read.

In another statement released this morning, Weasel asserts that he is ready to pursue legal action if Norbat continues to ignore his demands for payment.

"I'm willing to take a stand, even if it means being bold and assertive. I'll fight for my intellectual property, creativity, and hard work. We'll ensure that these promoters fulfill their obligations and pay what's owed to us.

I'm prepared to face any consequences, even if it means legal action. Our fans, please know that we're committed to protecting our rights and the value of our work.

I am ready to go behind bars for my music, work, sweat, and pain if that’s what it takes (EZANGE BAJJA ZISASULA)," part of the statement read.
