Chief Muzukulu and supporter of Ugandan music Hajjati Namyalo Hadijja has cautioned artists against misusing funds received from the government through the federation.
She emphasized that these funds come from taxpayers and that association leaders will be required to account for them.
"That money was allocated by parliament, and it’s taxpayers’ money. Anyone who misuses it will face legal action. Leaders will be held accountable, and those who fail will be arrested," she stated in a local television interview.
Namyalo believes it is essential to support musicians financially, but accountability must be maintained.
