In 2023, legendary filmmaker, musician, and actress Mariam Ndagire revealed plans to open a film school.
Ndagire has shared updates on the construction progress and says the school is nearing completion.
She explained that all classrooms have been built, and they are currently completing the dormitories and halls.
She says the school is located in Sentema, Busiro South Constituency, Wakiso District.
She explained, "The Mariam Ndagire Film and Performing Arts Centre is almost complete, and we are finalising the dormitories and electrical wiring. Operations will start soon."
Ndagire says she is building the school to share her extensive film knowledge with young people and those with a future in the performing arts.
