Bebe Cool comes from a strong political family background and has made a name for himself through his philanthropic actions and by consistently helping young people.

The singer has, however, revealed that he has no intentions of joining active politics. Bebe Cool believes he can contribute to the development of society even outside of politics.

He explained that elective politics is for liars. He says politicians are often quick to tell people what they want to hear instead of the truth.

“Even if I do not continue with music, and I don’t think I will, for me politics was always in my family. I have weighed my options, and I don’t see myself getting involved [in elective politics]. The only time I could be in politics is if it is not elective because I don’t like lying to people. A good leader tells people what they must hear, not what they want to hear; that is me. I prefer not just being in an office but rather being a good leader by saying facts even when you don’t want to hear them,” he explained in an interview with a local television station.

Bebe Cool, however, says he can't rule it out completely because young people could one day ask him to get involved in politics based on truthfulness and hard work.

“I can’t rule it out because anything can happen in life, but I don’t think I want to get involved in elective politics. However, if one day young people believe in people of truth, hard work, and genuineness, and they ask me to run for office on the basis of truth and service, I would," he added.

Bebe Cool is popular within NRM circles and is well-liked by the first family because of his unwavering support for the NRM government.
