Rising musician Joshua Baraka initially had other dreams before focusing on music.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Baraka revealed he would have been a pastor spreading the word of God.

He also spoke about leading a worship team in church, explaining that it relates to music and is something he loves.

“If I weren’t doing music, I would probably be a pastor, or probably leading the worship team because music is my ultimate goal,” he explained.

The singer, however, says he has no regrets about his choice to focus on music because it is something he loves, and it is a dream come true for him.

Joshua Baraka made his breakthrough in 2023 with the song "Nana." The song gained international recognition and even had a remix version featuring Joeboy, King Promise, and Bien.

He is currently one of the most promising artists across the continent and dreams about taking Ugandan music to an international level.
