According to a social media commentator based in Finland, Kakensa Henry Ndugwa, he reveals that the main cause of all this started when long time ago. Here is what Henry Says;.
Sometimes the people we meet in our life and lift can turn against us. Let me reflect a bit on SK Mbuga and Leila Kayondo's ping pong. Many of us may assume these two just met a few years in Kampala when the public got to know about their relationship. No, that’s not the truth. Both SK Mbuga and Leila Kayondo hail from Masaka. The two people now conflicting against one another come from very close staunch Muslim families. Having had a chat with SK Mbuga sometime back, he told me Leila and him grew up on the same village, in the same neighborhood and were literally brought up by the same parents. Those who were born in the seventies to eighties know how children of the village were brought up like one family. As they grew up, the Mbugas would have lunch at Leila's parents and the Leilas would in return eat at Mbugas parents. Despite this close family relation, nature chipped in and SK Mbuga in his youthful age began dating Leila's elder sister and impregnated her. They began a family in their youths age. Leila was so young then and still at school. Mbuga left for South Africa to look for greener pastures. When he finally got money after years of Kyeyo, he came back to Uganda. By the time he came back, Leila had begun her singing career with the Dream Girls under Eddy Yawe. She was now a grown up girl and appetizing but she needed a financial push to uplift her talent. Those who know her can tell you that she could do anything as long as it could help to promote her music career. It is through this promotional theory that SK Mbuga came in her life again as her music promoter.(this is how they initially convinced the wife-Leila's sister). If you remember in the beginning wherever Leila was interviewed she referred to Mbuga as her music promoter.
Hell broke loose when Leila's sister found out that it was actually Mbuga who rented Leila a house in Bbunga. There were verbal exchanges on social media as you all saw between the two sisters. The issue was taken back to the parents in Masaka and it was resolved by both families that the two sisters can share one man because it doesn’t go against the Koran. The elder sister objected to this idea and let go. Leila then retained Mbuga for herself and officially became Mrs Mbuga by Nikka. From them, Leila's life changed dramatically. She began cruising in Mbuga's Hummers. Mbuga began uplifting her music career, First by paying for the collabo with Jose Chameleon. Those who know Chameleone can tell how expensive it was 2 years ago to make a collabo with that horse voices singer. Mbuga paid him over sh5m and again met the cost of both studio and mastering for two songs "Relaxing" and "Hooray".
He then paid for the collabo with the Goodlyfe in "Tompona". There after another collabo with Nyanda in "Kikute".
All this, Mbuga said he did not because he loved Leila so much but because he was helping a home girl whom he regarded as a "sister" to break through musically.
As a responsible husband, Mbuga started a garments business for Leila Kayondo called L-Kay Collection in Kabalagala. The two flew to Dubai where they loaded a full container of ladies ware and ornaments worth $50,000. He later opened up another branch somewhere in the suburbs of Kampala. To simplify her movements as an artist, Mbuga bought Leila a brand new BMW convertible which was personalized in her names.
A year later he bought her another car, this time a Mercedes Benz. In between the past three to four months, Mbuga met Vivian Birungi from Sweden. The two fell for one another and in Oct last year, Mbuga visited Vivian's parents in Mbarara. This is when the once sweet hearts Mbuga and Leila turned sour hearts. They both began making counter allegations against one another. (Remember it was not love which connected them in the first place but historical upbringing) like I explained earlier.
Mbuga wanted to settle with Vivian but maintain Leila as a sister from Masaka which couldn’t come cheaply. He continued funding her lavish lifestyle but without any hidden intentions(this is what he told me) But just like any man, looking at Leila's beauty he probably melted and slid back into relationship again.
On the 31st Dec, Leila obtained sh10m from Mbuga to throw her lavish birthday bash only to be found on a lunch date at Munyonyo with Congolese rebel whom Mbuga suspected not only to be dating Leila but to be a spy. Please take in mind that Mbuga partially deals in Gold and diamonds from the same region. This is how the beating and imprisonment came in.
Now a man who has done everything to let someone live happily slept in jail for one mistake. I don’t cordon domestic violence but sometimes we ought to weigh how much we owe others. I hope these two find room to forgive one another. Their family should intervene and resolve this issue because i don’t think SK Mbuga can ever make peace with Leila after this incident. Domestic issues are normally reported to parents before the matter goes out to the legal procedure.
