Musician turned politician Kiyaga Hillary aka Dr. Hilderman is the current Member of Parliament for the Mawokota constituency. He took oath on Tuesday afternoon and he is destined to serve his people to greatness.
While speaking to the press after swearing-in, he stated that he will make sure that musicians have the backing of the government on top of lobbying for his constituents.
He said he understands what the sector lacks to compete with other countries in the world.
"I was sent by the people of Mawokota but I will also represent the musicians. I understand the sector and I know the problems we facing as an industry," he, said.
Other musicians who joined the 11th Parliament include Geoffrey Lutaaya of Kakuto, Rachael Magoola of the Bugweri constituency, and artistes manager, Kayemba Solo.
