The Electoral Commission (EC) for the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has agreed to conduct physical elections after the online voting was canceled on the 6th of June, 2022.

The chairperson elections committee, Geoffrey Ekongot, explained they have not yet decided whether to go for the ballot boxes or online up behind candidates.

"I promised free and fair elections to the people, the system however failed us and had to cancel the elections. We are considering going for the physical voting," he explained in an interview with local television.

UMA presidential aspirant, King Saha has been advocating for physical elections claiming digital voting can't deliver free and fair results.

The new date for casting votes is yet to be announced by the committee.
