Over the weekend, western Uganda-based musician Reagan Muhairwe, aka Ray G, held a successful concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The show is estimated to have brought together over ten thousand Ugandans and music lovers.

Despite the success, music critic Jenkins Mukasa is not satisfied that Ray G is now a force to reckon with musically in Kampala.

He maintains that Ray G's fans are only based in western Uganda and explained that the singer brought over fifteen buses from Mbarara.

"Ray G transported people who didn't pay for the concert just to prove a point that he can fill Lugogo Cricket Oval. I am told fifteen buses came from Mbarara, and the people only paid for transportation, nothing more than that. Some tickets were given for free to holidaymakers and in bars. I don't consider that a success because bringing 15 buses from your home area to fill up a venue in a different location doesn't make any sense," he said during a live session on YouTube.
