Ronald Mayinja, one of Uganda's most successful band musicians, has been in the industry for over twenty years.
In a recent interview, Mayinja explained that band music emphasizes message and character, with money coming after the creation process.
He argued that, unlike today’s artists who prioritize money, band musicians focus on the message and real-life stories.
“Band music will continue to thrive because it's not about money but the message and character. Money can come as an addition,” he said in an interview.
Mayinja added that band music artists undergo extensive training and mentorship before hitting the studio to produce quality work.
