Radio Presenter - cum- singer/songwriter; JAQ Deweyi is thrilled to announce the release of her latest EP (Short Album) called “YOLELE.”
Yolele has been available for sale on Kaymu.co.ug since 1st December 2015.
Yolele is a 5 track EP with a Christmas theme. It includes the original version of Yolele, performed both in English and Lumasaba and produced by Swangz Avenue.
The 5 songs, include an acoustic and Jazz versions of Yolele, and two bonus tracks, featuring rapper; Enygma and produced by Kaz Kasozi and Nase of Potbell Drive respectively.

“My music speaks to life’s emotions,” reveals Jaq, “When I write and record my music, I must be able to take the listener on a journey. Music is the biggest tool to move people - it makes you feel happy, it makes you feel sad, and it even makes you feel angry. Music is emotions and I have a lot to share with the world.”
Inking all the lyrics herself, the EP leads off with “Yolele,” an African Christmas story, that is influenced by her childhood memories of Christmas. The Yolele acoustic version video is already in place and it will premier on the same date with the EP.
Jaq has emerged in the Ugandan music scene in recent years, garnering radio play with previous singles, and gaining a solid fan base in the country.

JAQ Deweyi is a Ugandan-based singer and song writer influenced by Contemporary African Musicians like Brenda Fassie and Angélique Kidjo. JAQ recorded her first single; “Oukwamunabi” early 2013 and released it April 26, 2013.
2013 was not a bad year for the singer and song writer, she released her first single in Kampala’s No. 1 night spot; Govnor, went on to have her first live performance and first professional performance ever at the Black Gold Nights at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, released her second single in July 12, 2013. To crown it all, she released Yolele – Christmas Is Here, a Christmas song that was defined as a “fitting Christmas Carol” by Daily Monitor. “It is a song that easily relates with the times, and passes as a fitting Christmas carol.”
2014 saw her release her first 7 track EP called Sun In The Rain.
Outside recording studio, JAQ is a Radio Presenter at 93.3 KFM, Topowa Brand Ambassador, Columnist in the Daily Monitor (Heart-to-Heart Magazine), Voice-over artist, Events Emcee, TEDx Speaker and Hepatitis B Ambassador in Uganda.
