Not yet even a day since he resumed office, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has been ordered out of the office of the Lord Mayor cancelling out his grand entry into the same office early this morning.
Reports from court of appeal indicate that single judge, Justice Steven Kavuma has over turned the Friday ruling by Justice Lydia Mugambe, hence restraining Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago from assuming office.
The ruling was given behind closed doors with the press barred from entry amid heavy armed police deployment and Lukwago's side not represented.
Lukwago resumed duties today after a short prayer from a sheikh and a press briefing in which he called upon all members to forget the past and work together. As it seems, the past can not be forgotten as yet.
The session is still on going and more details will come shortly.
