Members of parliament cowardly dodged an interactive session dubbed "Ask Your MP" leaving hundreds of voters stuck.

The Wednesday session was part of the activities organized by parliament to commemorate this year's parliamentary week which ends today.

Hundreds of voters turned up at parliament with a burning desire to question their MPs especially those that voted in favor of the Age limit Bill 2017.

The turnover was in response to public invitations made by parliament but left disappointed as their MPs were no show. The voters were instead taken for a guided tour around the house.

Most voters however said they had a wonderful tour around Parliament. Parliamentary staff took the voters around the house as some of them waited for their MPs in the tents.

Parliamentary staff also set up stalls with responsible officers to attend to the visitors. The stalls include that of the office of the Speaker, Leader of Opposition, Clerk's office, Department of Research and Department of Communication among others.

Legislators like Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, the Kyadondo East MP came in with his voters. Also MPs Betty Aol Ochan, the Gulu Woman MP was seen patiently waiting for her voters to show up.

The Parliament Week activities will climax with the highly billed Public Parliament where the speaker is expected to invite selected members of the public to debate the MPs on the topic "Budget allocations and their impact on service delivery". The proceedings of the Sitting will be recorded in the Hansard and the resolutions presented to the Speaker.
