Cavendish University Uganda, located along Kabalagala-Gabba road launched a beneficial partnership with IBM Skills Academy to help improve and advance their student’s internet skills and also provide them with future employment.
IBM in partnership with Cavendish University Uganda are going to be empowering the students with digital literacy as a means to transform them into employable and entrepreneurial citizens by opening up a world of digital possibilities.
Cavendish students are also going to be gaining necessary skill sets that will easily turn them into future employees, entrepreneurs and community leaders who posses the knowledge and tools to design, develop and launch their own digital solutions.
IBM’s Digital-Nation Africa aka D-NA program https://t.co/QUZtV6dqED targets young people and provides a cloud-based learning platform designed to provide free skills development programs for the youth, enabling digital competence and nurturing innovation in Africa.
For the youth of Africa to be able to benefit from a cognitive future, there needs to be a much higher level of digital literacy at the top of the skills pyramids are developers who need to know how to create solutions that can leverage the power of cognition and entrepreneurs who are aware of it’s potential. IBM Digital Nation Africa is designed to help raise overall digital literacy.
And also through a free cloud-based online learning environment delivered on IBM Cloud, the premier cloud platform for business, the initiative will also provide a range of programs from basic IT literacy to highly sought after advanced IT skills including social engagement, digital privacy and cyber protection. Hence also enhancing their student’s visibility and also uplift their quality of education through accessible mediums provided by IBM.
