Two men are being held by Security agencies in Jinja after being found in possession of counterfeit money which they were allegedly distributing in different parts of the country.
Ernest Kakakumba and Darius Rutaro were nabbed on Wednesday by a team of police officers and Internal Security Organisation-ISO operatives while distributing the fake notes.
The duo subscribes to a big racket of fake money dealers who manufacture and distribute counterfeit notes in the country, according to officers.
They were nabbed at Clive road in central division and the found in possession of fake money in the denominations of 20,000 and 50,000 shillings.
The duo was held detained at Jinja central police station but later transferred by ISO operatives to Kampala.
According to Diana Nandawula the Kiira Region Police Spokesperson, the police is searching for other suspects.
