Aruu County Member of Parliament Odonga Ottos health is being managed at Nakasero Hospital after he was involved in an accident along Kampala - Gulu highwaythis morning.
The accident occurred at Katuugo trading center in Nakasongola district at around at 4:00am today when the legislator, who was driving his Prado registration number UBA 832S rammed into trailer registration number trailer UAV 837J/UAD 991Q which had overturned on the road.
The MP was heading to Kampala from Gulu by the time the accident occurred. He sustained a few bruises and was complaining of pain in the shoulder.
According to Mable Asingwire the Savannah Regional Traffic Officer, Otto has since been evacuated from Bishop Ceaser Hospital to Nakasero Hospital for further management by ambulance provided by the Parliament of Uganda.
Police is currently waiting for the medical report to establish the extent of injury, and the hospital conducted a CT scan on Otto before he was transferred.
By press time, Police was still trying to remove wreckage of the trailer to clear traffic on the Kampala-Gulu highway.
