The opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC has postponed to Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th, the nomination process for party presidential flag bearer.
The party spokesperson Ssemujju Nganda announced on Monday morning, that the earlier date that had been confirmed of July 31st had been cancelled.
The exercise will take place at the Party headquarters in Najjanankumbi and will be presided over by the acting party electoral commission chairperson Totelebuka Bamwenda starting at 10am and close at 5pm on each day.
He warned that all candidates must keep time and show up in the time frame provided by the party.
“The ceremonies will commence at 10am on each day and close at 5pm. We don’t want anyone to turn up here two days and he wants to become a presidential candidate. We will consider you insane if you show up two days after wanting to be nominated” Nganda warned.
The warning follows an incident with Hon Nabilah Ssempala who was recently bounced after showing up late to return nomination papers for the Kampala Lord Mayor seat.
She was also accused of forging the nomination papers. The incumbent Kampala Woman MP has since gone on social media and different media houses accusing the party of frustrating her or any other members that showed interest in unseating Erias Lukwago.
She is likely to stand as an Independent. However, Hon Nganda says the party does not play favorites.
