Hanifah Nabumba the 14 year old girl who was reported to have disappeared on the 6th Dec. 2020 has resurfaced on Thursday morning.
According to Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Nabumba went back home today morning.
She claims to have willingly left home that day to go and visit her paternal auntie in Lugoba.
Nabumba narrated to Police that her mother separated with her father sometime back and three months ago the mother travelled to United States of America leaving her under the care of the grandmother.
According to her, the grandmother does not give her time and freedom to visit her paternal families.
On Sunday, she escaped from home to go and meet her paternal auntie in Lugoba and other friends.
When the news broke out that she had disappeared, her auntie gave her transport money to go back to the grandmother and today, she went home.
We want to appreciate the public who have been voluntarily giving us information on the possible whereabouts of Nabumba.
