The police in Kisoro district are searching for unknown people who ruthlessly murdered a 24-year-old man in his mother’s compound as she watched.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional spokesperson says the incident occurred on 15/05/2021 at around 2300hrs at Kigezi Village, Gisorora Parish, Nyakabande Subcounty in Kisoro District.
The deceased, one Musinguzi Anatori a resident of the same address was killed by unknown people as he returned home.
The deceased’s mother, Nyirahabakwiha Cecilia told police that her son came running home, pushed the door and entered the house without a word.
However, moments later the killers came chasing him and also pushed the door, warned her to against making an alarm, entered the deceased’s bed room, pulled him outside and killed him as she watched helplessly.
She is however quick to add that her son was a notorious thief whom she suspects was killed by people he could have offended before.
Anatoli’s body had multiple cut wounds on the head and a smashed face.
He had been in Prison for stealing a saucepan and served a sentence of two years and was discharged from Kisoro Government Prison on 13/05/2021.
Police documented the scene and conveyed the body to Kisoro Hospital for post mortem. Sticks were recovered from the scene as exhibits.
