Police marines are searching for bodies of two fishermen who drowned in Lake Victoria on Thursday.
The victims are Namuguzi Denis 32 a resident of Malembo landing site, Kyesiiga sub county, Masaka district and another unidentified person who was still new in the area.
It is reported that on Thursday, Namuguzi together with his colleagues went to fish in the L. Victoria.
However, after a few hours, a lady identified as Nabuma Justine received a phone call from one of them who survived the accident informing her that Denis and another person had drowned in the lake.
Nabuma immediately rushed to police to report the incident.
According to Muhammad Nsubuga the Greater Masaka PRO, the officers visited the scene of crime and search for bodies commenced.
By press time, the bodies had not been retrieved.
